Am I bound for iOS 5 disappointment?

I am an happy user of Apple products. I use Apple computers, iphone, iPad, airport, and the list goes on. But I fear that my hopes and wishes for the upcoming and as of yet mysterious iOS 5 will leave me disappointed. The idea of iOS 5 has become the mythical thing that once releasesed will magically solve my problems and complaints (much like the mysterious North Carolina data center for some). Because I do not yet know what it will bring my imagination goes wild with ideas of a new notification system for alerts or tweaks to the file system so apps can play with files together in a grassy meadow with rainbows. The rumor mill continues to add fuel to my fire with talk of magical iCloud synching and widgets and music lockers.

I feel that for me at least Apple is a victim of it's own success. My expectations are so high that I feel they are almost impossible to fulfill.

Well here is my iOS 5 wish list:
1. Revamped Notification System - It'll be great if they come up with something amazing but now I'd be happy if they just copied Android or PalmOS

2. More muti-tasking options - I think Apple did a good job balancing the convenience and system performance the first time around. But I would love to see just a few more options. Namely the ability for apps to poll feeds in the background occasionally and auto download new content.

3. Ability to update OS and backup data without hooking into a computer.

4. Upgrade the Maps App - The maps app has seen very little change from when it was first released. The maps app on newer android devices are pretty drool worthy now that they are vector based instead of waiting for tiles to load. Turn by turn directions would also be a huge plus.

Well whatever happens I'm sure there is something big in store for the WWDC keynote. Fingers crossed that they'll touch upon a least some of my wish list.
